dot com, dot coooomm is a scammer , spread the word

Friday, May 30th, 2008

I bought (online from USA) a roundtrip from Europe to South America. For this trip I needed a paper ticket (not e-ticket) that DOT COOOMM!!! failed to deliver to me (one ticket was lost and the second was sent me to a wrong address - I provided the right address- ). I have proof of this (tracking number from UPS).  Anyway, one of their representative advised  me by phone to go to Europe and they will arrange with the airline I get a ticket at the airport. They never did it. I called to DOT COOOMM!!! many times from Europe and the airline that I was supposed to travel with (KLM) also contacted DOT COOOMM!!!. DOT COOOMM!!! never did anything to solve that problem that DOT COOOMM!!! generated and they didn’t give me another solution. I had to buy (in Europe) another ticket from a different travel agency and I had to spend 15 extra days in Europe plus one extra week in South America. I’ve also lost many days at my job. I had lost a lot of money and my trips were useless because I had to use the money I had to solve this problem instead of enjoying my trips. TO MAKE IT SHORT, I WAS ABANDONED IN EUROPE BY DOT COOOMM!!! AFTER THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE ME A TICKET I HAD ALREADY PAID WITH MY CREDIT CARD.

DOT COOOMM!!! claims that it was my fault (It is a lie because I have e-mails from the airline telling me that DOT COOOMM!!! never arranged my trip). DOT COOOMM!!! claims that they had put all the information in the airline system. But when I asked where and when they cannot give me that information. I have documentations showing how many times I called them (and copies of e-mails I sent to them), I also have an e-mail from the airline telling me that DOT COOOMM!!! never contacted them and never put on their system the information necessary to issue me new ticket from Europe. I showed that documentation to DOT COOOMM!!! but DOT COOOMM!!! just ignore it and never made an attempt to contact the airline. Why? because DOT COOOMM!!! can lie to customers but it cannot lie to the airline.

In summary, DOT COOOMM!!! charged my credit card for 1,254.96 U$D for a ticket that was never delivered. They advised me to go to EUROPE. Once I was in Europe, DOT COOOMM!!! abandoned me  there at my own with no ticket. I had to re-schedule my trips by my own and I had to buy a new ticket from another travel agency in Europe to complete my trips. DOT COOOMM!!! ignored my complaints when I was abroad . After I came back to USA, DOT COOOMM!!! tried to keep the money DOT COOOMM!!! charged in my credit card for that ticket I never had a chance to use. DOT COOOMM!!!  lied to me many times and tried to keep money from my credit card in a fraudulent way.  Thanks to my credit card I could recover (after almost 7 month) the full amount of that ticket but I suffered huge monetary loss due to that trouble that DOT COOOMM!!! generated.

EXPEDIA letters and e-mails

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

A short (funny) guide to understand corporate letters.

As example I’ll use phrases from e-mails EXPEDIA sent to me when they tried to scam me: (Read my case at : http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/mycase.htm ).  But you would find very familiar most of these phrases.

First at all EXPEDIA’s messages (or most corporate messages)  are well written letters from superior people with a deep knowledge and understanding of grammar, semantic and dialectic. We customers are ignorant, retarded, with difficulties in understanding basic concepts of communication.

This is a short guide to understand what we customers believe EXPEDIA is telling us and what EXPEDIA is really telling us.

It took me while to appreciate the real meaning of the messages I had in my mailbox.

What you think EXPEDIA tells you
What EXPEDIA is telling you

Pssst, EXPEDIA shares will eventually fall

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

The reason is because people are realizaing EXPEDIA is a huge scam.

EXPEDIA cannot scam forever: thousands of traveler have already been at http://www.victimsofexpedia.com

and http://www.expedianews.com .

Most of them now know EXPEDIA is a scammer. They are telling their friends and relatives about how EXPEDIA tried to scam me (http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/mycase.htm ) and failed ……..miserably.

The funny thing is that more than  hundreds of spammer also registered at the http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/forum and are now increasing the traffic of that forum devoted to alert people about EXPEDIA and other scams.

In that sense, expedia is making a great contribution to society: “ www.victimsofexpedia.com and other scams” exists only because EXPEDIA tried to scam me. Paradoxically, EXPEDIA is helping people to learn about other types of scams: nigerian scams, bait an switch scams, lottery scams and so on.

If you read this blog, please feel free to send and e-mail to expedia to thanks for their great service to the comunity.

Yuo can send this text to them: “Thank you EXPEDIA. Because you tried to scam  Johnny Doe,  I found www.victimsofexpedia.com and I’m now aware of other online travel sites  that are also scamming people. They will never get my money in a fraudulently way as you try with Johhny”.

Dell Inc. deceived customers in a massive “bait and switch” judge says.

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

“….Dell Inc. deceived customers in a massive “bait and switch” scheme to increase sales of its computer and electronic products, a New York state judge ruled Tuesday….”

Read the full article from CNN : http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/05/27/dell.lawsuit/index.html

“….The lawsuit also accused Dell of depriving customers of technical support that they were entitled to, in some instances, by pressuring them into performing repairs on their own or subjecting them to long wait times on the phone…”

These tactics were used by EXPEDIA when they tried to scam me: http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/mycase.htm

Horrible experience with Orbitz.com; my vacation to Hawaii was ruined!

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

I found this complaint about Orbitz.

“…………….while I was overseas, Aloha Airlines went out of business so the flight that I had purchased did not exist. Needless to say it was extremely stressful and costly to book a last-minute ticket to Kona on the day of my vacation. I ended up spending more than $1700 in addition to the $500 for the first ticket. ……..

Important warning for your friends and relatives

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Why to alert people about EXPEDIA (based in my own experience and hundreds, maybe thousands, of cases: http://www.expedianews.com )
Send this link (or download the pdf file) to your friends and relatives: http://victimsofexpedia.com/expedia.pdf
If you feel you are special, if you feel it will never happen to you, you are wrong. Even if you had no problem before using EXPEDIA, it is not a guarantee it won’t happen to you in your next trip.
I had used EXPEDIA a couple of time until they revealed what they really are, until they tried to scam me (read my case, including gruesome details of their lies and tricks they used to try to scam me: http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/mycase.htm
-         If you travel you can be the next victim of a scam they are running alongside with their legitimate business (they tried to scam me 1254.96 U$D, and failed miserable).
-         Your relatives and friends might also be the next victims
-         Therefore, you, your relatives and friends may lose thousands of dollars
-         Your vacation might become a nightmare
-         You might not have a vacation at all
-         You can be stuck at any airport because EXPEDIA failed to arrange your trip
-         You can spend a lot of money by calling EXPEDIA from a foreign country trying to fix a trip EXPEDIA failed to arrange
-         You can waste a lot of time when EXPEDIA agents put you in hold for hours (and waste a lot of money in phone calls
-         Thus, you might find yourself  in another country trying to book another flight because EXPEDIA didn’t arrange your trip and abandoned you there with no ticket
-         EXPEDIA does not plan to stop their unethical business practice (read daily complaints in this site)
-         EXPEDIA keeps falsely promoting their services (http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/falseadvertisement.htm )
-         People believe EXPEDIA is a honest company (until they are scammed and is very late)
-         EXPEDIA has “friends” that help them to delete negative comments about them in the internet (read about the Wikipedia Affair: http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/wiki.htm )
-         EXPEDIA will never take responsibilities of their own mistakes
-         EXPEDIA will never compensate you for the “extra” money you had to spend due to their mistakes.
-         EXPEDIA will try to keep (steal is the right word) money by charging your credit card a tricky way (http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/cheat.htm ) .
-         You might need to wait months to be reimbursed for the money EXPEDIA charged in your credit card for services they failed to provide (but only when EXPEDIA is forced by your credit card company to reimburse you).
-         EXPEDIA agents will lie to you
-         EXPEDIA supervisors will lie to you
-         EXPEDIA “customer specialist” will lie to you
-      Even if you e-mail to top EXPEDIA’s executives , they will no answer (http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/CEO.htm ). This means that they are supporting their deceptive business practice.
-         EXPEDIA will ignore your e-mails if you try to contact them for a trouble with your trip or they will send “automatic responses” to make you believe they are taking care of you (read a collection of these kind of messages: http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/templates.htm )
-         EXPEDIA might use many of these “dirty tricks” that online travel sites are using to scam people (http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/dirtytricks.htm ) to scam you.
o
Why EXPEDIA keep doing this? Because the travel business is very profitable. EXPEDIA can afford to lose thousands of customers because there are still million of people that are unaware of how bad EXPEDIA is. EXPEDIA can still make billions cheating new customers.  So, don’t feel you are “special”, don’t believe “the EXPEDIA promise” , you are not “number one”.
It is up to you to help yourself or your friends or relatives to have a safe trip or vacation. Just alert them.

Have you ever consider you might be supporting a scam?

Monday, May 26th, 2008

And supporting unethical business practice?

Of  course,  unwillingly

Did you know that booking through EXPEDIA.COM is supporting a scam. It is like supporting a Nigerian scammer or o any other scam scheme.

My case proves EXPEDIA is a scammer (http://www.victimsofexpedia.com/mycase.htm ) . Hundreds (maybe thousands) of other customer feel they were cheated by EXPEDIA in one way or another (http://www.expedianews.com ) .

Besides, EXPEDIA does what a scammer would do when they are unmasked: cowardly hide. Instead of straights thing up, EXPEDIA  choose to hide and continue their unethical business practice.

Now, you now, booking through EXPEDIA is supporting a scammer and supporting unethical business practices.

In some way, EXPEDIA (and other businesses) are changing the standards of America honesty. Now, it seems OK to cheat customers. People even defend EXPEDIA. I often hear “you are one case in one million”, “EXPEDIA is used by thousand of travelers with no problems” . This means that it is OK to scam one customer if you don’t scam 999999.

With that in mind, in the future it will be OK to kill someone. The defense argument will be “He/She didn’t kill 999.999 other innocent victims”.

Just some thoughts.
