” Lyndhurst has filed a federal lawsuit against a handful of travel websites such as Priceline, Travelocity and Expedia” To read the article : click

After I read this article I sent this message to the Star-Ledger Staff who wrote the article:
Your article is one of the few that shows how taxpayers are being cheated by corporations.
I have some comments I would like to share.
Why are online travel sites so difficult to sue (and win a case) even for towns?
What is doing the IRS? Aren’t they powerful enough to put Al Capone in jail but why they are doing nothing now?
I found that most people that work for the media (newspapers, TV) are reluctant to investigate and report the scam perpetrated by online travesl sites.
I have three hypothesis for that:
1) They are afraid of being sued
2) They are under EXPEDIA (and/or other online travel site) payroll
3) They don’t want to loose EXPEDIA’s money that come from advertising
The overal result is that people are being scammed by online travel sites and the people that have some power to stop them are doing nothing.
Just some thoughts.
Kind Regards
John

If you run a company that scams people, does it mean you are (as the company CEO) a top scammer?
Let’s talk about EXPEDIA’s CEO. At this point EXPEDIA’s CEO should know that EXPEDIA tried to scam me (I posted overwhelming evidence in my website: www.victimsofexpedia.com ). This site has been active since april 2006. It is very difficult to imagine that Mr Barry Diller ? is not aware what EXPEDIA’s representative did when they tried to scam me (read my case and hundreds more at http://www.expedianews.com ).
If he knows about my case, he is a scammer and he will probably continue to scam travelers. Unless EXPEDIA’s employees lied to him. But If he is a CEO he must be smart enough to realize that my case is a true case (Just in case, he can check by himself: Case ID: [REQ:21826350; he can easily find that EXPEDIA representatives failed to arrange my trip and later they lied, lied and lied and tried to scam me)
If he doesn’t know about my case, what kind of company is he running? Is he really in charge of EXPEDIA .com?
Does he use internet?
I just found this : http://www.gawker.com/news/evil-bosses/new-yorks-worst-bosses-barry-diller-246022.php
